Can an aircraft fly a square using only voice commands?
In the Schochman Square Challenge, we put the voice-controlled autopilot to a simple visual test. Instead of manually adjusting the heading or interacting with the avionics, the pilot commands the aircraft by voice.
The aircraft is instructed to follow a sequence of headings — 360°, 090°, 180° and 270° — creating a square-shaped flight path in the sky.
Behind each command, the Schochman AI Glass Cockpit interprets the pilot’s request and translates it into instructions for the autopilot. The pilot can therefore interact with the aircraft in a natural way while the avionics handle the required flight controls.
The Square Challenge is a simple demonstration, but it shows a much broader idea: voice can become a practical interface between the pilot and the aircraft.
